At West Field High School we value the importance of connection. It is one of our highest priorities that students feel connected to the school, staff, and their fellow students. In an effort to intentionally build and strengthen that connection, each student will be assigned to a mentoring classroom and teacher. This class period will be called the Bullpen.

Our mentoring teachers will work with a group of students all from the same grade level and will support that specific group of students all the way to graduation. The Bullpen teacher will be the one to read the student's name as they walk across the stage at graduation.

In our mentoring class teachers will guide students as they set weekly goals for growth, emphasize our core values through training connected to the Portrait of a Graduate program, and help build community and connection throughout the school.
